What is STEM?

STEM is the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. These subject areas are generally considered to be critical for our nation’s global competitiveness. Science, technology, math and engineering skills drive the global economy.

It’s no secret our schools struggle to keep up with this pace of change. Our children need more opportunities to experience and gain these highly specialized skills. Brainiacs engages and excites children’s innate desires to learn and conquer these important concepts.

Experimental STEM Classes

Brainiacs was founded on the principal that a lifelong curiosity and love of learning must be nurtured for a child to succeed.

Our discovery center encourages insatiable curiosity and fosters a lifelong love of learning.

Our hands on, project-based STEM programs help children expand their functional skills and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

In our classes, kids learn through experiential learning. They gain skills in collaboration, communication and competition to establish confidence, increase self-esteem and promote an internal desire to achieve their highest potential.

Brainiacs: Fun and Education for All Ages

Brainiacs provides fun, educational programs for ages 3 to 14. We believe that age doesn’t always dictate ability, drive and interest trump talent, and safely making mistakes offers the best learning experience.

Our programs provide in-depth opportunities for our students to actively learn that go beyond typical enrichment and continuing education programs.

For example, our learning programs in robotics start for kids as young as 3 years old. We present basic physics concepts and age appropriate logic applications. We progress through ten unique robotics programs of increasing complexity of concepts and technology, including advanced programming and competitive robotics.

As technology improves, we expand and improve our curriculum to keep pace.

Our goal is to transform a child’s curiosity into self-drive. We believe in deliberate practice, the action of expanding abilities through ongoing practice and continuous learning.

Brainiacs offers a seriously fun environment for kids to try out something new, do something they love or even continue onto competition. We want the kids to take pride in doing it themselves, learn and, perhaps, pick-up a new passion.
